Last week, 9News went to The Event Center at Church Ranch, one of our commercial client’s installations, to see why they chose our system over traditional air conditioners or swamp coolers. The Event Center is a beautifully landscaped location that hosts many ceremonies – everything from weddings to wakes. In the interview, Brian Zehnder, one of the owners of the Event Center property, explains how critical it is to their business to keep their clients comfortable and how they do so at the fraction of the cost when compared to traditional air conditioners.

Coolerado recently won a Sustainability Champion award from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. We were selected from a pool of nearly 100 entries and given the award based on the following criteria: environment, economy, innovation, education and cost savings. More below.

Cash for You
Coolerado customers and friends are our best sales people and we’re launching a new program to give you cash in addition to our gratitude.
We’re starting this program in our prime target area that includes California, Colorado, Nevada and Utah. Signing up is easy! Simply reply to coolingseason@coolerado.com with the following information by April 22, 2010:

 • Your name, address and state of residence
• Your phone number (optional)

We’ll reply back to all participants in the target states by April 23, 2010 with the program information.

More on Sustainability Champions

“Jobs.” According to many polls, this issue is still the number #1 concern for Americans. Well, we received outstanding news with two words last week. “Tax Credit.”

Granted, not always the most fascinating words, but we were awarded a tax credit from the government last week to help us build our green air conditioners – in turn, creating jobs and boosting an emerging green economy.

Maybe we should change the words “tax credit” to “green growth.”

See the official release at: www.coolerado.com/news/coolerado-awarded-750000-tax-credit-to-support-green-economy/

Usain Bolt Runs 42 Miles per Hour

By Ryan Smith

Usain Bolt is currently the fastest man on the planet with a top speed record of 23.35 MPH set at the last Olympics – a fractional improvement from the last record holder. But what if Mr. Bolt improved his speed by 80%, meaning he could now run upwards of 42 MPH? People would be in a complete frenzy! Every aspect of the marvel would be probed to find out how he did it. He’d even be entered into the Kentucky Derby … and he’d win.

This summer, Coolerado blew away current air conditioner efficiency standards by 80 percent – but there was little fanfare. There’s nothing too exciting about air conditioning – it’s a box that sits on a roof after all. However, there are some geeks like us out there in the world who want to know how we did it. So we created a video that gives insight into just how it works.

There are two versions – one in Fahrenheit and one in Celsius. Both have closed captioning so you can read the narration if you don’t have speakers. You can also translate the narration from English to many other languages. These features are available by clicking on the little up arrow in the lower right hand corner of the video screen.

To view the video, visit the Coolerado homepage at: www.coolerado.com
